La station de Champéry-Les Crosets est bien connue pour son superpark, mais certainement peu d’entre vous connaisse son parc d’entraînement pour la recherche avec un Détecteur de Victimes d’Avalanche… Alors ce w-e si vous faites un saut aux Crosets pour la fermeture c’est l’occasion de vous entraîner une dernière fois avant la fin de la saison ou la période des randonnées à ski, dans “l’Avalanche Training Center”.

As I told you before I’m in Andorra right now. Arriving after a long drive I could stay to a friend’s house in Erst, just before Arinsal. Thank you Phil! On Saturday I win the qualification. For once I was quite satisfied with my run I was just a bit shy with the jumps, it’s was not so good conditions. Today was the final they took the first 4th in snowboard. The face has been taking the sun with really hot temperature for two days already. It was not so many options and was not very satisfied with my chose of line. I must say if they have a good organization for the beside of the contest the rest is not always “in the Swiss style” especially for a 4 stars event. Who should supposed to be in a certain level of organization. We didn’t have any briefing before the final and it was clear that some how we have to start a bit down in some line. When we were drop into the top with heli. They first said we have to start from the top. After they decided to open it a bit more down. My first option seems to be to steep with that condition maybe with ski but not on snowboard (hopefully I didn’t take it), after I wanted to cross a part of the face (for starting from the very top) but after having showing the first snowboarder crossing the same part and saw the really big spring avalanche after him. I wasn’t so confident after that (even if everything get down)! I saw an other skier who take my first option but have to wait to manage the sluff who was almost like an avalanche again…
This year I decided to compet in some contest of the Freeride World Qualiflier, the 4 stars events. I miss the first contest in La Clusaz, because I was sick. After they cancelled the Engadinsnow, I ride my first contest of the season in Hochfügen, where I get a second place (1st Anouck, 3rd Manuela). I’m know in Andorra for my second contest of the season. Let’s read this part in another news!

Comme vous l’avez peut-être lu : une loi bernoise, voudrait interdire le VTT en-dehors des routes forestières, autant dire la mort du sport dans ce canton.
